It's similar to one of my absolute favoritest things to do, but it sounds like he's specifying that one should do it in a different place from where I usually do it. Which is really cool.Lupold Hasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05513737724146003011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076002976158000685.post-51976613039824624702015-05-28T16:35:25.422-04:002015-05-28T16:35:25.422-04:00He doesn't specify tip position - just one fen...He doesn't specify tip position - just one fencer having found the other, and a locking of blades. I don't *think* the tips need to be that high though, if you've got your hilt on their blade and are using a wrist cut?

He does specify no blade contact for the second variation, yeah. I found that really interesting. That said, I've done this with the forte of my true edge on my opponent's sword, but it does work better without contact.Donovan Shinnockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14880964997850121800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076002976158000685.post-60127538224705341182015-05-28T16:15:33.128-04:002015-05-28T16:15:33.128-04:00How interesting. The first part of plate 30 sounds kind of like a destreza-style reves.

The second part though?

Does Fabris give us any indication of where our tip should be at the beginning of this? I'm picturing farther than Giganti-style pointing-above-their-shoulder.

I have strong feelings about Plate 31. Does Fabris really specify no blade contact there? To me it looks like false-edge contact with your forte, in the plate.Lupold Hasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05513737724146003011noreply@blogger.com
